Sync Salesforce Picklist Values to Filter Calls in Chorus
Now that you've synced Salesforce with Chorus, you can choose to pull in any picklist you have on the Standard Objects (Task, Lead, Account, Opportunity) in Salesforce so you can filter to the types of calls, Opportunities or Accounts that you care about.
Enabling picklists means you can filter your calls in Chorus by any field with a finite set of defined values in Salesforce, and you can get more granular in your reporting. For example, you could answer the question, “Are competitors coming up more with inbound or outbound leads?” or “How are we pitching to enterprise customers?” Questions like this can be answered by filtering your calls to companies of a certain size, industry, product, or line of business to name a few.
Syncing picklists in a few clicks
- Settings > Integration Settings > Select Picklist
- Select the Salesforce picklists you want to be able to filter your calls by, and click save when you’re finished. Chorus automatically pulls in the “Opportunity Stage” picklist, no need to select it through here. Second, selecting a pick list and adding it to Chorus is an action that will only affect calls moving forward.
- All set! Your picklists will be pulled in, and when you return to the Recordings, Deals, or Analytics pages you will see the new filters under CRM Fields. All future recordings can be filtered by the fields you enabled in the previous step.
You can use as many or as few filters as you want. When filtering, you’ll want to consider whose conversations you’re looking at, and which specific types of conversations they’re having. For example, if you’re trying to examine Discovery Calls where a competitor is being evaluated, you might want to filter to just your AE team, Deal Stage at time of Call is Discovery (or your Salesforce equivalent), and add your new CRM Field called Evaluating/Using Competitor.
